Bertrand Peret   Sandrine Llouquet

Born in Talence, France in 1971.
Since his graduation from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux, he has been pursuing an artistical research centered around a reflexion on painting. For him, painting is not limited to the space deployed by the surface of the medium, and the act of painting is not necessarily a lonely practice.

By approaching painting as a coherent articulation (esthetical as well as conceptual), between forms, colors and subjects, Peret works on the declination of the artistic practice on various support, which leads him to blur the frontiers between art and life. (For exemple through the creation of events). Peret's work, in its personnal and collective dimensions is situated where life and art confond themselves.

Sandrine Llouquet was born in France in 1975 from Vietnamese parents.

After studying 5 years in Nice (France) and 1 year at the Fine Art University of Ho Chi Minh city, she graduated in 1999 from EPIAR (International Pilote School of Art and Research) – Villa Arson in Nice (France). Sandrine’s work is based on a drawing practice but manifests itself in diverse forms, depending on the spaces where she exhibits. Thus, she may use many other mediums such as video animation, video art, sculpture, wall drawing and installation. This offers the viewer a global interpretation of her work.

Since 2000, in parallel with her personal art work, she has pursued activities in development and promotion of contemporary art with Bertrand Peret. Together they created Wonderful in 2000 in France and came to launch the Wonderful District project in Ho Chi Minh city in March 2005. She lives now in Vietnam for nearly 3 years. She is also a founding member of the artists collective Mogas Station.
